A robust multivariable optimizer is also available in VMGSim and is the ideal tool for increasing plant profitability. The optimizer has an easy to use interface; objective functions can be defined using our custom calculation tools such as the Excel™ unit operation, Selector Block, or the Process Calculator for unmatched flexibility. The Objective functions can be minimized or maximized. The optimized values of the manipulated variables can be applied to your flow sheet with just the click of a button.
Limits can be applied to the Manipulated variables directly, instead of defining constraints. The constraints can be used to drive your simulation to a certain state, even without an objective function. VMGSim offers steady state and dynamic modeling in a single package, leveraging your investment by using the same modeling environment, and allowing transfer of data between steady state and dynamic models. VMGSim’s OPC Server allows you to easily connect your steady state or dynamic VMGSim models to data management clients such as advanced process control systems. The dynamics engine incorporates a state of the art network pressure-flow solver. This permits high fidelity modeling which takes into account equipment size, nozzle location, heat transfer to surroundings and more. VMG offers special consideration for academic institutions.

VMGSim is a comprehensive, fully interactive process simulator for the Gas, Refining, Sulfur, Sweetening and Chemical process industries. It is a powerful tool for the development of complex process models used to design, optimize or troubleshoot your plant. VMGSim’s flexible flow sheeting structure allows integrated plant models to be constructed easily. Each sub flow sheet can use the property package best suited for the particular processing area. Whether it be the APR for Natural Gas for gas gathering, dehydration, hydrocarbon recovery and acid gas injection processes; the Amines or Physical Solvent packages for Modeling the Sweetening process or our Claus package for modeling SRU’s.
